i've seen the future

Before I go on with hyperbole and stories of goosebumps and screaming, did anyone else happen to catch The Arcade Fire last night on Conan?

Holy... crap...

Too bad last night's Webster Hall and tonight's Irving Plaza shows both were quickly sold out.

Well, I guess technically it's also too bad that Webster Hall is literally completely and totally wheelchair-proof. They once gave me some line about "we're always happy to carry wheelchair patrons up the stairs." Uh. No thanks.

Fortunately several other fine NYC bloggers were in attendance.

On a somewhat related note, I was given permission today by my doctor to venture forth into the city again. Loooook out!

Didn't see the show but thanks to the clip on brooklynvegan's site I got to see it anyway. What a performance. I like to record quite a bit but nothing on it prepared me for the energy found in that clip.

Note to self ... see them the next time they're in town.

It's probably just me, but why do I keep thinking they are going to break into "Come On Eileen?"
