state of randomness

Take a whirl at placing all of the states on an unmarked map of the United States. C'mon. I think there's probably a bit of luck of the draw involved, though. I had to try to place Kansas second. I did well, though: 96% with an average error of 6 miles. How did you do?

I *heart* geography.

96%, 3 miles error.

I had a little trouble getting a couple of middle states in just the right spots... Oklahoma's hard to place if Texas isn't there... and I had some trouble with Tennessee too... since the only nearby state that I had so far was Mississippi.

By the way, I forwarded the quiz to my co-workers a few minutes ago... and when I just walked into the newsroom, there were little yellow US maps on about five computer screens.

96% 4 miles error 457 secs.

It would've been two miles, but on the LAST STATE, Florida, I accidentally right clicked and screwed up the placement...

What a choke artist....Damn Florida.

First the 2000 election, now this....that state f*ckin' hates me.

94%, 20-odd miles, but my first three states were Colorado (which I thought was Wyoming), Indiana, and Wyoming...

96%, 4 miles, 349 secs.

Whee! FUN! (Thanks for the link!)

Pathetic. 82%, 75 mi, 347 secs.

I guess it's all fly-over country to me.

did ok, 92%, 31 miles, 378. Only 'cause I dropped New Jersey (accidentally let go of the click when my cat snuck up on me). I mean... c'mon. I know where fuckin' New Jersey is! The other two I missed were because they started me me with two square states-- colorado and wyoming. bastards!
