Wilco, tonight on Leno. Fine. I'll TiVo it.
Wilco, New Year's Eve. Madison Square Garden. Um. Uh. Um. Err. WHAT?!
I'm all happy for the guys making the bigtime but the freakin' Garden? The openers are Sleater-Kinney and the Lips but still...
Wilco? The Garden? New Year's Eve? Sorry. Just can't wrap my brain around it.
Posted by mikewolf at November 08, 2004 10:14 PMHow about this: Wilco writes and performs a song for the new Spongebob Square Pants movie.
Posted by: Vernam on November 8, 2004 11:26 PMDon't they usually play a show on NYE in Chicago every year?
I'm getting more and more frightened that Wilco's best days are behind them and that Tweedy has become entangled in an every expanding ego. Ick.

LA - Wilco traditionally played a Thanksgiving Eve show in Chicago. They decided against it last year and there is no show this year either.
Wilco has certainly gained in popularity but is it enough to sell-out MSG? I don't think they've play an arena show here where the draw would be greatest.
