there's always shuffle

I happen to really like the debut record from The Killers. Is it ground-breaking? No. Is it brilliant songwriting? No. It's simply a fun summer record that takes me back to last year's Ok Go and Hot Hot Heat records. I mean, they wear their '80s influences on their sleeve more than even stellastarr* (if that's humanly possible) but they write much better hooks than any of the plethora of recent bands of their ilk.

Well, all that stuff isn't entirely true. I happen to really like the first five tracks on "Hot Fuss." I'm not sure what the hell happens after the INXS meets Joy Division of "All The Things I've Done." Seriously. It's the worst sequencing I've ever heard. It makes iPod listening disturbingly easy, though.

To be honest, I was somewhat on the fence about getting that Killers album, but your positive review may have tipped me in the "purchasing" direction.

After listening to the player on their site, I'm sold.

Thanks, yo.
