So my little IV and the super fatigue it gives me has claimed its first two victims. Tonight I would love to be seeing my beloved Allison Moorer (w/ Bobby Bare, Jr. whom I also enjoy) at the Merc. Normally I would also have myself planted at Joe's Pub to see Slaid Cleaves tomorrow night. However the price of a ticket isn't really worth it if it's merely a different place to nap. At least I didn't already have the tickets.

I'm not letting this thing stop me from seeing Nick Lowe at the end of September (solo acoustic at the Bowery!!!). I'm also debating the sanity of seeing the Weakerthans, the Decemberist, Puffy AmiYumi (just for Deano), Sam Phillips, Kasey Chambers and a return engagement by Allison opening for Drive-by Truckers. The Weakerthans show is going to prove very tough to pass on. The Decemberists and Puffy are both at the awful Webster Hall which will make them much easier to skip.
