I have at least four regular readers from the Land of Lincoln, right? At any rate, don't get too used to having Obama around your fair state. Seriously. That guy is a brilliant light and will absolutely be tapped for bigger things before you know it.
Posted by mikewolf at July 27, 2004 10:03 PMHe's going to be President someday. And he can count on my vote.
Posted by: z. on July 28, 2004 02:46 PMAwesome. No less than that. And he seems - so far - to be genuine. Man, I honestly hope he is what I think he is. Kerry is being very well served, by the skinny kid with the funny name.
Posted by: deano on July 28, 2004 02:56 PMVery impressive man.
Posted by: Jim on July 28, 2004 08:38 PMSay that cat Obama is a bad mutha- . . .
How bad? The GOP can't find a soul to run against him. Today I got an invite to his 43rd birthday party, cheap at only $50/head (or $250/VIP). Soon you won't be able to lunch with him for less than $10K.
He didn't make much of an impression here as a State Sen. But I'd put money on his being the first African American major-party nominee for VP. It's shocking how the suburbanites love him.
