You know what I hate? I hate cars. Yes. That's what I said. I, the native Michigander, hate cars.
I would be much happier if I could take mass transit everywhere I went and not have to get behind the wheel of, well, anything.
Does this have anything to do with the fact that I live off of a stretch of I-95 that literally carries five times the amount of traffic that it was intended for? Or does the fact that I'm picking up my car from the shop today and I'll be about $1500 poorer for it have some bearing? It might. It just might.

Posted by: Eve Atley on March 12, 2004 10:26 AMI love my car!! It currently has no exhaust, no air conditioning, and all but one speaker is bad but I still love it. Oh did I mention that it is a 1989 with close to 200,000 miles! I fully intend to drive this car untill it just won't go any more and then I might just have a new engine put in. The problem with new cars is they don't have any style. The only thing I don't like is how long it takes to have a car fixed. I just had an oil change and the entire rear brakes replaced (new every thing) and it took 2 days. I want them to make cars like nascar cars. New radiator? NO problem! We can fix that in like 2 min. I mean really they need parts that just pop in and out!!! Here in Kzoo if you wanted to use public transportation, good luck! They have a very limited service and none at all on Sundays. Besides they don't like it when you hang your arm out the window of the bus or when you want to drive with the window open when it is snowing. Not to mention the bus has no sunroof or cd player.
