the trouble with tribbles

These are apparently rabbits. Somewhere, somehow. Personally, I think they're just rejected album covers for My Morning Jacket.

So thumbs up or down on My Morning Jacket? Their track, "Evelyn Is Not Real," is the best on this year's Oxford American CD sampler. The writing is okay, but I love the musicianship, especially solo guitar that reminds me of Martin Belmont. Is the rest of their stuff good, MW?

Another fave found recently on another mag's sampler is "When Mac Was Swimming" by Innocence Mission. Heard much of them?
