dark ages

We've got power, yes we do. We've got power, how 'bout you?

The Great Blackout of '03 wasn't too exciting for randomness. I was in Norwalk at work when darkness fell on our great land. My biggest ordeal was getting home. The normal 15 minute commute took almost two hours. The traffic on the highway was completely gridlocked while the surface streets were moving quite well thanks to the civilian corps of traffic cops (like Paul in the city). A sleepless night followed, but that seems a small sacrifice compared to those who were living Amish-style until Saturday morning. My power came on at about 3:30 Friday morning.

So, how did you pass the time?

Passed the time thinking about you and checking your blog regularly to hear your story. Glad no major problems other than traffic...I was thinking, "How is he going to get into his parking lot? Apartment?" It sure does make one think how much we depend on electricity!

Lovin' You!

Glad to hear your blackout experience was relatively uneventful. I spent my dark evening with several candles and my good ol' acoustic guitar. ’twas quite nice actually. Even wrote a song!

Cheers.

You give us no word for two days, and when you come back, all you can give us is a "uneventful" story?

How many new babies do you think we can expect in May of 2004?

I was sitting in my house with the air conditioning going full blast watching my TV and thinking of all the blacked out people not knowing what happened on "The Amazing Race" this week. Oh tomake sure it would last I left all the lights on.

I was worried that you were stuck in some elevator or in the middle of a subway passage.
