Somebody needs to tell Ms. Ciccone not to mess with hackers. Seriously. This is pretty funny. Too bad the album is getting horrific reviews.
Now, I'm the first to understand intellectual property rights. I utilize Kaaza Lite to really just sample albums. If I like it, I buy. Notice my 2,000 CDs as evidence. But surely someone could have seen this response, couldn't they?

I haven't enjoyed any of Madonna Veronica Louise's songs since "Like a Prayer," though I did enjoy her interview on VH-1 last week. She pulled her (anti-war) video for "American Life" because "There's a lynch mob mentality out there against anyone who doesn't support George Bush or the war."
Granted, I would much rather have seen her release the video anyway, and show that she has some real cajones. But at least she had the nerve to say that was why she didn't release it, rather than the cop-out "oh, it didn't seem like an appropriate time, we should all be supporting our troops, blah, blah, blah..."
Posted by: Kirsten on April 23, 2003 02:42 PMToo bad there are too many cheap wads out there who want to sreal music. It has gotten so bad in Klamazoo we have only one locally owned music store left. Which is sad for a three college town. We should be hopping with them.
