wrong line of work

The Guardian (UK) reports...

Gandolfini gets $400,000 an episode, a figure comparable to the likes of Frasier co-stars Jane Leeves and Peri Gilpin, as well as West Wing star Martin Sheen, who gets around $425,000 an episode.

But those salaries are well below the $800,000 picked up by Ray Romano for Everybody Loves Raymond, the $1m an episode paid to the Friends cast or the $1.6m that Kelsey Grammer gets for his starring role in Frasier.

Ignoring the fact that Tony Soprano makes more for one episode than I make in five years, what's going on with Romano and Grammer. I've said it before, but I don't think "Everybody Loves Raymond" is even remotely funny. It's like a bad rehash of any of a dozen sitcoms. "Frasier?" "FRASIER?!" I didn't even realize that show was still on and Kelsey Grammer makes over three mill for a couple of episodes.

That, my friends (pun intended), is truly disgusting.

no shit. i was so pissed when i saw this show on MTV about J. Lo and how much money she makes and WASTES. she's from the bronx, huh? just a regular gal, huh? well why the fuck does she feel okay about spending $1500 on a manicure or flying her hairdresser across the country just to do her hair or hiring a NIPPLE TWEAKER on photo shoots, for chrissake? i'm just a regular gal and can barely justify the $15 manicures i get on special occasions and i prefer to tweak MY OWN nipples.

people are so freakin' greedy and there are so many people with NOTHING. few people seem to care about that. they call the poor and homeless lazy and disgusting, but they don't find it the least bit disgusting that celebs waste more money than you or i will ever even MAKE? irony.

i think catherine zeta jones summed it all up when she and hubby won the million dollar lawsuit from the mag that published their wedding pics. she looked around the room and was like, "a million dollars may seem like a lot of money to most of the people in this room, but to us it's nothing."

whatever, bitch. i hate the rich. i really, really, do.

did i wake up on the wrong side of the bed today or what? please forgive me. love ya tons!

xoxo, jared

"um, sorry raymond you're NOT funny, and NO, not everybody loves you" is what i mutter to myself when the commercial for his friggin show comes on. and what a mockery he makes of golf. he says he's serious about golf and then goes on the course and makes jokes and throws yo-yos.

jerk off.

I never liked Raymond. But I've found myself watching it a few times recently. The main thing I now find funny about it is that the Raymond character (is it really Ray Ramano?) is so much like one of my co-workers (a new guy that you don't know). That's what cracks me up. I hate the wife (character and actress).

Frazier is still a quality show. Just because you haven't seen it in a while, is that any reason...?

How can I get a job as J Lo's nipple tweaker?

I think the incredibly high salaries these celebs make are all a product of us-the consumers. We watch, we read , we are intrigued. The advertisments pay everyone's salaries and ...we buy. The only redeeming and jusifiable pay(although highly great) are to the creaters and inovators of these shows and the occational actor that plays a part too. You get what people will pay you.
