The latest trend with the blogarazzi? Audio blogs. I've seen a handful of them now. I'm not sure if I like the idea or not. Several reasons come to mind.
First, my blog helps my polish my writing skills. I know how to speak. It's one of my better skills. Award-winning, in fact!! ;)
Second, do you really want to listen to me ramble every day? I know people who would pay not to have to hear that. I tend to be long-winded. Besides, you can skip around and only read what you're interested in. That would be harder with an audio journal.
Third, would you really want to hear me say "a really cool link is at, write this down, aach tee tee pee colon slash slash..."
Finally, you really don't want to hear what I sound like. Isn't it more fun to imagine what a guy who was born in Michigan and has lived in England, Georgia and Connecticut sounds like?
Thoughts?

if audioblogs ever took off, all i would do then is impersonate other people's audioblogs. odd-ioblogs.
or someone could come up with a better name than that.
(i'm getting weird stylesheet issues via mozilla. each word on its own line.)

Hmm. Looks fine to me. Odd. I'm in 1.1. Should I try 1.3b? Not tonight, though.
Thanks for the Holga tip, gak!

Posted by: Hillary on March 2, 2003 11:12 AMI think that Michiganders have some degree of an accident and some bizarre speaking mannerisms. However, I'm a hodge-podge of dialects and accidents. I ended up pretty much accent neutral.
