So next week I'll be going on my first extended trip for my still newish job. I'll be spending almost all week in San Diego with my boss. Now on the surface this might sound like a good trip. It's not.
We'll be attending a really bizarre trade show for the medical industry. Keep in mind, I don't work in the medical field and I live on the East Coast. Why we'd want to find medical customers in California is beyond me. Business back east isn't exactly bustling but I can't imagine that it's worth it for us to try find some customers three time zones away.
Also, my boss isn't exactly the best traveling partner. I like him. He's a nice guy. It's just that he's really uptight and, well, not too bright. His favorite phrase is "whadya mean?" The guys asked me to count how many times he says it in the span of a week. I'm guessing it's going to be nearly 200, if not more.
So, combine all that with my absolute loathing of all things California and it's not looking like a fun time.
We'll always have the weather...
