So I was planning on going into the city to see Elvis Costello on the Today Show tomorrow morning. This was distasteful on many levels. First, I'd have to get there really early. Like 6:30 a.m. That would mean catching a 5:45 train. I'm not a morning person. I'd then have to cram in with a billion tourists from Des Moines (not that there's anything wrong with Iowa, per se) in town for Labor Day. I'd also have to wait through all of the show just to hear EC sing a few songs. Now it's supposed to rain all day today and tomorrow. Sorry, old chap, that's the clincher. Not gonna do it. They'll move them inside if (when) it rains. I'm going to see him twice at the Beacon Theatre in October and contemplating a return to Atlanta to see him in November. That'll just have to do.
