Went to to a free "roots music" festival at Lincoln Center yesterday. A couple of Irish music bands (I don't like Irish music. No offense to those who do. I went and ate while they were on) and a reunion of the legendary bluegrass band The Greenbrier Boys were the undercard. The 8,000 people who were in attendance where clearly there to see Doc Watson. For those of you who don't know who Doc Watson is, check this out. He didn't disappoint. It was a amazing show.
If anyone gets the titular reference of this entry let me know. I'll be very impressed.
I don't get the reference, but I like the word titular

Posted by: Tiffany on August 11, 2002 02:04 PMI have lived in the afforementioned Columbus for nearly a year now, but so far have not had the pleasure of spending a night in the stockade. I've been to the "Old City Jail," (a bar) and the clientele certainly gave me the blues, does that count as having the "Columbus Stockade Blues"?

Posted by: hoochbear on September 13, 2003 01:04 AMI haven't yet heard Doc sing 'CSB' but intend to put that right. Now all I need is a recipe for Mad Dog Margeritas!
BJ
no recipe for that margarita . El Vaquero in Cross Country Plaza in Columbus has excellent magaritas. Then, if you really want to step out, look up the drink SKIP AND GO NAKED.
